Biography:

Andee Dooley, MS, LCAT, BC-DMT is a licensed creative arts therapist and board-certified dance/movement psychotherapist working as a researcher with the Louis Armstrong Center for Music and Medicine. Her previous research projects include a portfolio of NIH-funded clinical trials assessing mind-body interventions for pain management in cancer care. Andee has also been awarded multiple grants by the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with the US Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs to develop arts and health programs for military populations exposed to trauma. Additionally, she has been honored by the US Embassy and US Ambassador to Rwanda for supporting refugee youth through inclusive arts programs in partnership with UNHCR. Andee’s lived experiences as a foster youth have provided deep insights into public systems of safety and wellbeing and have informed her passion and stewardship in advancing global health equity and innovation.
